Hello! Welcome to the Mody Lab!

I graduated from UCLA in 2011 with a B.S. in Neuroscience, and joined the Mody Lab shortly thereafter. Right now I work primarily with Scott and Ryan, performing some of the preparatory and maintenance work for their research projects, although my job is constantly evolving. I love coming to work and learning something new every day!

As an undergraduate, I was involved in Alzheimer’s Disease research at the Laboratory for NeuroImaging and at the Mary S. Easton Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research, both at UCLA. I also worked with the Lai Lab, completing a research project during my senior year on the role of IDH1 mutation and MGMT methylation in adult grade II and III gliomas. I’m also interested in the neurological basis of drug abuse and addiction.

Outside of my interest in the brain, I enjoy cooking and spending time outdoors. I played for the UCLA Women’s Lacrosse Team, captaining the 2010-2011 season when UCLA earned second place at the national championship. Now I consider myself to be the team’s number one fan!
