I am a junior undergraduate at UCLA majoring in neuroscience, on track to graduate in 2013. In the Mody Lab, I am currently investigating the TRPC6 protein channel and its changes in murine models of epilepsy. I find the TRPC6 channel fascinating due to its specific localization within the brain and still unknown physiological relation to several neurological diseases.  I hope to elucidate more specific answers to some of the many open questions for the TRPC6 channel and pathology of epilepsy. I am from Northern California (Santa Rosa) and outside of the lab enjoy exploring the LA area. In the future, I plan to attend graduate school in neuroscience and continue exploring the field.
